Colour Glass Filters are polished sheets of special glass that have been cast with a dye included within. These filters are stable, transmit at selected wavelengths independent of the angle of incidence, and are relatively low cost. However, due to the manufacturing process there are a limited number of variants and so restrictive in wavelength selection.
Our range of UV colour glass filters all transmit a portion of the ultraviolet waveband, and are either bandpass or longpass, dependent on their transmission band.
Our bandpass filters include materials equivalent to UG1, UG5, and UG11, and all have a centre wavelength (CWL) within the UV region and block from 400nm onwards.
A wide range of UV colour glass filters are available with circular filters of 25mm diameter and square 50x50mm filters. We also have mounted options, where the colour glass filter is set within a black anodised ring for easy integration into a system.
